Play safely together
Parent guide
A grown-up chooses the place, sets the boundary and stays in charge. The game never overrules real-world safety or venue rules.
Before a photo hunt
- Choose a familiar, permitted area and explain its boundary.
- Keep roads, car parks, water, heights, restricted spaces and dangerous weather outside the hunt area.
- Ask the venue before taking photos in a library, cafe, supermarket or other private business.
- Skip anything that is unavailable or feels unsafe. A harder clue must never mean greater physical risk.
Keep photos private
Frame only the treasure. Keep people, faces, names, screens, receipts, house numbers, number plates, barcodes and account details out. Any detected faces are blurred automatically before the visual referee receives the temporary image. If privacy preparation fails, the image is not sent. The app deletes its original cache copies after the result. If the referee appears wrong, a grown-up may review the face-blurred copy for up to seven days and award the correct points.
Camera access is optional. You can deny it, go back or use a skip. Read the full privacy policy.
Travel Bingo is different
Travel Bingo is tap-only and has no camera, location, route or leaderboard points. A grown-up must set it up while the vehicle is parked. Accepted friends on the same trip may receive the same boards and see completion counts. The player stays belted as a passenger and never asks the driver to tap, photograph, stop or change route.
Community is child-readable after sign-in. Friends are added by exact username and must accept before they can be highlighted on weekly, monthly or all-time leaderboards or invited to a shared game. Shared treasure hunts send the same target IDs to each player; photos remain private and are deleted after checking. There is no chat, contact upload, shared photo, precise location or exact activity timeline.
Stop if a child is tired, upset, separated from the grown-up, distracted near a hazard, or encouraged to approach a person, animal, road or water. Report unsafe app wording through support.
Grown-up controls
Accounts, recovery, data export, correction, deletion, app sharing, rating, support and future purchases stay behind the grown-up check. The gate relocks when the app leaves the foreground.
